“Whom shall I send, and who will go
for us?
Then said I, Here am I, send me.”
Isaiah 6:8
Isaiah
was in the presence of God and he overheard God speaking and realized that
there was nothing else for him but to say, in conscious freedom, “Here am I,
send me.” It seems to me that when we “draw near to God and He draws near to us…be
still and know that I am God,” that our hearing becomes more sensitive and
we spontaneously desire God’s will.
My Prayer:
Lord, I want to be
among the few called that hear You asking for volunteers to Your service. I want my relationship to be so intimate that
I hear Your whispers. Here I am, send me
according to Your plans.
