“Or, what man is
there of you, whom
if his son ask bread, will give him a stone?”
Matthew 7:9
Prayer is usually about ASKING.
Asking has conditions that are based on the
relationship of those asking and giving!
#1 condition of
asking and giving in the Family of God is~
It is a good Child asking for a good thing.
Have you ever
gotten disappointed with the results of your prayers
asking God for something?
Perhaps you need
to do some evaluation to find the reason by asking if you
are a Good Child of God in these situations:
Are you rightly related to family; friends;
fellow-workers?
Are you asking God for money when there is
something you have not paid?
Have you asked God for liberty while withholding
it from someone else?
Is there someone you haven’t forgiven?
Someone you
haven’t been kind to?
Are you living as God’s Child doing good
things?
It is no use
praying unless we are living as children of God. Then, Jesus says: “Everyone who asks will receive!”

Lord God, I want
to be more than a good child – I want to be a child who delights You because my
desire is not for things but more of You…delightful time learning how to be
holy as You are Holy. Help me to be
consumed in Your Presence to develop Your attitude and characteristics of Love.
Lord, please
show me where I have not been a good child of Yours. Help me in my weaknesses to always have Your
attitude, especially when being provoked to anger and criticizing those who
disrespect your place of Worship and those in need who belong to the Family of
God. Make us ONE in Your Spirit for Your
Glory.
