SECURITY

Have you ever lost all your security?  I have.

I had someone who loved me unconditionally, my precious children,  a beautiful home, and enough money for anything we wanted.  I was secure…I thought!

I once had a used car packed with some clothes,  my two sons and enough money for gas to go to the only secure place I could – Daddy’s house!  I had nothing else but faith and hope.

We just celebrated the birth of Jesus.  He was prophesied by Isaiah and recorded by Matthew and Luke that he would be called “Emmanuel – God with us”.  This same Jesus has been with us ever since.  He gave us His Promise throughout Scripture that “I will never leave you, nor forsake you.”  My favorite recording is Hebrews 13:5-6 “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said: “I will never leave you nor forsake you, so that you can say, ‘The Lord is my Helper, I will not fear what anyone may do unto me.’”

This is permanent security:  One who loves unconditionally with a covenant sealed in blood and with The Holy Spirit of God.  He doesn’t live with me; He lives in me.  A family that will never be separated.  EVERY need is supplied and much more while I live on earth.  A home prepared to live with Him forever when this life on earth is over.  I am secure.  I am wrapped in the Presence of Holy God!
