THE "GO" OF UNCONDITIONAL IDENTIFICATION

September 28, 2017 & 2018
THE MISSIONARY’S “GO”
A series of preparation for fulfilling the Great Commission

THE “GO” OF UNCONDITIONAL IDENTIFICATION ~ Abandonment

“One thing you lack…
come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
Mark 10:21

From my interests to His interests!
Personal holiness; being a good person never causes Jesus to call a person!
Wanting to be perfect like Jesus is a wrong reason to want to follow Him.
The rich young ruler had kept the commandments all his life and thought he merited reward…
Jesus gave him a very hard word that hit the truth of his heart.
Sell all…and come follow Me!”

It was not the young man’s goodness or riches that kept him from following Jesus…
it was his Love of them!
Jesus requires absolute unconditional abandonment.
There can be no other allegiance to anyone or anything!

Very few of us know this life of following Jesus!
It is not about salvation, but about unconditional identification…
“I am His!”

Those who follow Him, must go the road He went…it led to Calvary and death!
It also led to Resurrection and a New Life!

2 Corinthians 5:17
“Therefore if any man be in Christ,
He is a new creation; old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.”

“My sheep know My voice, and I know them,
and they follow Me.”  John 10:27

><><><
Lord, I do see more clearly about abandonment.
Absolute means everything that would keep me from my very best for You.
Thank You for making me debt-free and
for "the new thing" You are doing in my life.
I am excited about every day. ~Betty

THE "GO" OF RENUNCIATION

September 27, 2017 & 2018
THE MISSIONARY’S “GO”
A series of preparation for fulfilling the Great Commission

THE “GO” OF RENUNCIATION ~ "I will..."

“Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.”
Luke 9:57

It cannot be an emotional commitment because it pleases you.
It cannot have a condition to it…”but”.
It cannot be with a self-centered motive with pre-conceived ideas.
It cannot be on your time table…it is ALWAYS Now!
JESUS has to be the reason and the motive,
a Love Relationship filled with trust into the unknown.

Jesus said:  Follow Me…
and I have no where to lay My head.”
 Luke 9:58

THE "GO" OF RECONCILIATION

September 26, 2017 & 2018
THE MISSIONARY’S “GO”
A series of preparation for fulfilling the Great Commission

THE “GO” OF RECONCILIATION ~ Forgiven as you forgive!

“If…you remember that your brother has ought
against you…”
Matthew 5:23

IF you remember…not raked up; but brought to your conscious mind by the Spirit of God.

First…”Be reconciled”
Leave your offering – your place of prayer; place of communion & fellowship with the Lord God.
Go…” to fellow Christian God has given you a conviction about.  Someone who has something against you!
Doesn’t matter whether it is true or not.
Doesn’t matter about your rights –
You waive your rights to obey the Lord Jesus.

God doesn’t allow His Children not to Love one another!
It is LOVE that ONLY His Children have that will cause the world to want what they’ve got!
God gave His Spirit for His Children to build each other up.

Since The Lord brought this person to your mind, you are probably the stronger in faith child, and they are the weaker.  He chose you to make you both more like HIM!

Be reconciled ~ Do whatever it takes to make things right before The Father.  HE will not forgive…if you do not forgive!

“and then…”
After reconciling, you can NOW come back to the place of prayer.  The first offering should be you and your brother/sister confessing and thanking the Lord for restoration.

“come and bring your offering…” NOW, you can bring your offering/gift of worship, praise, fellowship to your altar.

Lord, that You for loving me and teaching me through discipline
how to walk with You in Your Spirit;
to quickly resolve conflict or anything that would lead to it.
Keep me in check so that I won't ever shame You,
but give You Praise in all situations. ~Betty

THE "GO" OF RELATIONSHIP

September 25, 2017 & 2018
THE MISSIONARY’S “GO”
A series of preparation for fulfilling the Great Commission

THE “GO” OF RELATIONSHIP ~ with Him!
“And whosoever shall compel you to go a mile,
 go with him double.”
Matthew 5:41

A Real Personal Love Relationship

The relationship The Lord demands is impossible unless He has done a supernatural work in us.
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ which has gone through the mill of His spring-cleaning until there is only one purpose left – to do His will that we are perfectly fitted to by His grace; not the things that are easy to us naturally.

John 14:21
“He that has My commandments, and keeps them,
he it is that loves Me; and he that loves Me
shall be loved by My Father, and I will Love him,
and will manifest Myself to him.”

<><
Lord, help me to be perfectly yielded and fitted to You
so that the supernatural will be natural.
You are with me and I desire to be with You
as You delight; and,
to give You glory and show You are Real. ~ Betty

THE "GO" OF PREPARATION

September 24, 2017 & 2018
THE MISSIONARY’S “GO”
A series of preparation for fulfilling the Great Commission

THE “GO” OF PREPARATION ~ Nothing to censor!

Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar,
and there remember that your brother has ought against you,
leave your gift before the altar, and go your way;
first be reconciled to your brother,
and then come and offer your gift.”
Matthew 5:23, 24

The First Offering ~ ME
The offering required after salvation is the sacrifice of Self ~ the right to yourself…your will
 ~ God requires ALL!
He didn’t die for one sin, He died for ALL sin and ALL people!

The Second Offering ~ Complete Love
The only offering the Lord requires is obedience that is motivated from Loving Him.
 ~ Deut.6:5; Mark 12:30

The Third Offering ~ “I will.”
John 14:15 ~ “If you love Me, you will obey.”
1 Samuel 15:22 ~ “To obey is better than sacrifice.”
Jeremiah 7:23 ~ “Obey My voice and I will be your God.”

Search me again, Lord,
and see if there is anything or anyone that  hinders my worship.
I bring You my sacrifice of Praise asking for cleansing and forgiveness.
Thank You for Loving me and choosing me to be Yours -
may I be a reflection of Your Love. ~ Betty

YOUR WAR ROOM

“But you, when you pray, enter into your closet and when you have shut the door, pray to your Father in secret.”
Matthew 6:6

YOUR FATHER IS IN SECRET!

Enter your closet (quiet place);
Shut the door (from sights & sounds);
PRAY (talk) to your Father
In secret (from your heart to His.) Ps.44:21
Your Father is in secret! Matt. 6:1-18
“Be still and know that I am God.” Ps46:10
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8
“The secret things belong unto the Lord…”  Deut. 29:29

The Father sees in secret and rewards openly!
Do not use vain repetitions.
Do not pray to be seen or praised of men.

Lord, how delighted I am that You made this word a reality to me years ago and that I have learned much about warfare and the strategies of how to fight victoriously from Your Word…and the power of Your Spirit amazing me. ~Betty

Additional Notes:

Secret things revealed by God to those who fear Him, His prophets, the righteous, babes (unlearned).

Psalm 25:14 “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will show them His covenant.”

Proverbs 3:32 “…but His secret is with righteous.”
Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He reveals His secret unto His servants the prophets.”

Matthew 11:25; “I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them unto babes…for it seemed good in Your sight.”

Matthew 13:35 “That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet (Ps.78:2), saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.”

Romans 16:25 “….according to the revelation of the mystery,(the Church Eph.3:1-9) which was kept secret since the world began.”
A “mystery” in Scripture is a previously hidden truth, now divinely revealed, but in which a supernatural element still remains despite the revelation.

JESUS TEMPTATION & OUR TEMPTATION

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are; yet without sin.”
Hebrews 4:15

TEMPTATION ~ the test by an alien power of the possessions held by a personality.

OUR TEMPTATION ~ James 1:14-15
“But every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.  Then when lust has conceived, it brings for sin; and sin when it is finished, brings forth death.”

Our temptations are intended to see how far will we go for self-gratification; to get what we really want – wealth; power; prestige; fame?  They are aimed to "kill, steal and destroy."

JESUS TEMPTATION ~ Mathew 4:1-11  A test of God as Man; to act independently as man; to act to prove He was God;  to try the flesh to doubt God and become of no value to Him; to flaw the character of God; to rush God’s plan; to misuse God’s Word;  to become spiritually prideful; to take away God’s glory!

Luke 22:28   Jesus said unto them:
“You are they which have continued with Me in My temptations.”

OUR TEMPTATIONS change when the Son of God is formed in us by the His Spirit…then, our temptations are toward not living the life He has put in us; not delighting in spending time with The Lord, nor having time to read His Words; seeing obedience as a duty instead of an act of Love; taking His blessings and hording them unto ourselves; taking the glory for our actions and robbing Him of His glory.

Oswald Chambers Prayer:  O Lord, how little realize what it means to watch with You, to continue with You in Your temptations.  Draw me nearer this morning and insulate me by Your mighty power until I speak and live only for You.

Thank You, my Lord, for helping me to continue in Your temptations knowing You are with me.  Help me to be so in Love with You that no temptation will ever be appealing.  Keep Your Words in my heart and mouth as ammunition and my faith a shield against attacks. ~Betty
