A VISIT FROM GOD!

April 18, 2018
“God called to him…and he said, Here am I.”
“…I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you…”  Exodus 3:4; 16b

A VISIT FROM GOD

God makes surprise visits ~ are you ready?
A ready person never needs to get ready!

Moses had a visit from God and He used a burning bush that wasn’t consumed to get his attention.
God called him by name…Moses; and introduced Himself as The God of his forefathers ~ The I AM!

He told Moses He had come down from the Heavenlies to visit and deliver His People…
and, He was going to use Moses to do it!
Moses said:  Here am I…but he had lots of questions and doubt and fear.
All of which are signs of the opposing Enemy; and, all of which only God can remove…and He did!

Have you had a burning bush?

Something that got your attention
that could only be explained by God...
and, God spoke and gave you a mission?

Additional Notes:
I think Moses was at his place of worship because he called it the mountain of God.  He also recorded that he took the flock to the back side of the desert to this spot.  He was in Midian and all the maps show this mountain a distance away.
In my attempt to find out where Horeb and Midian were during that time, I found many maps and I didn’t find a definite.
My conclusion:  It doesn’t matter to me.  I think Moses had a favorite place where he went to be alone and in this account it is called Horeb; and I believe that God sent an angel to set  a bush on fire to get his attention; and as he drew near to figure it out, God spoke to him and Moses knew it was God and his life was changed forevermore!

THE LIGHT OF THE HIGH HOUR

April 16, 2018

“While you have light, believe in the light.”
John 12:26

The Light of the High Hour!

Time of soaking before The Lord and receiving insight and inspiration and commission.

When God speaks ~ do it!

It is not the place where you live naturally, but the spiritual station for refueling to go “and do” what He says!
We have to live in the grey days in light of the high hour we spent in His intimate Presence.

Mary of Bethany is a great example of living in the high hour regardless of the situation!  She prepared Him for His burial before He died…this is why she wasn’t at the tomb and Mary Magdalene was!

When Jesus spoke these words to some of His intimate disciples, He was getting ready to die and leave them in this earthly life.
Today we have The Light living within us and He said He would NEVER leave us!  How Awesome is that*?!  What is our excuse for NOT living and believing in the light?

Additional Interesting Notes:
Scofield says about Lazarus, Martha and Mary some interesting observance…
LAZARUS stands for communion
MARTHA stands for service
MARY shows us the worship of a grateful heart.  Others had come to His feet to have their need met; she came to give Him honor and reverence and recognition of His Holiness.
